Construction – Understanding the Excavator
February 17, 2022Excavators are essential towards most construction projects that depend on excavating elements and material mobilization to be completed. Often these machines known as diggers or excavators are applied to various kinds of tasks or projects such as landscaping, demolition, mining projects, building construction and even river dredging. The standard excavator or the general components of an excavator consists of a boom, a dipper or arm and a bucket that are connected to a control centre often referred to as the cab which is attached to a rotating platform.
These rotating platforms are usually capable of rotating a full 360 degrees. In general, these machines are mobile either on tracks or on rubber wheels depending on the requirement of the project and naturally the manufacturer’s target customer.
